SARC's Medical Community

SARC works with healthcare professionals as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team from over 35 institutions in the US.  SARC works with a number of international institutions as well.

To participate in SARC, physicians must be part of a multidisciplinary sarcoma practice that includes expertise in diagnosis (pathology and radiology physicians) as well as treatment (pediatric, medical, radiation, surgical and orthopedic oncologist) of sarcomas.

In addition, participants must have a commitment to research and a practice that sees at least 80 (only 20 if purely a pediatric center) new sarcoma cases per year.

SARC participants are committed to the CTOS (Connective Tissue Oncology Society) model and philosophy that sarcomas are best studied and managed in a collaborative fashion.  A site must have at least 4 members of CTOS.

A member of the site’s team must also participate in at least one SARC meeting a year (held in conjunction with the CTOS and ASCO meetings).

If you are looking to open SARC studies at your institution, please E-mail us indicating your interest.  We will respond to you regarding what we will need in order to grant acceptance.

Once a participant, sites will need to update forms annually.
