SARC will meet as a group twice per year. At these meetings, experts will be asked to present new and current scientific data salient to clinical trial concept development. Members will have an opportunity to review the status of current clinical trials as well as explore new ideas and apply new and emerging science to design new studies.
In order to be in good standing as a participating SARC site, involvement in at least one SARC meeting annually (held in conjunction with CTOS/ASCO meetings) is required by a principal investigator or a member of the site’s trial team.
The most recent SARC meeting occurred simultaneously with the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) meeting held in Chicago, Illinois at the beginning of June (2008). The meeting had over 135 people in attendance.
